Climate and weather forecast
With its subtropical climate, Varadero offer an eternal summer! The average daytime temperatures generally vary between 22 and 30 degrees Celsius. There are two seasons, dry season from November to April and wet season (or rainy season) from May to October.
The average rainfall still remains fairly low during the dry season (the most popular for North Americans).
During summer, do not forget to bring a good insect repellent and, of course, a good supply of sunscreen lotion.
For those who do not support heat, note that summer months are very hot (30C +) and humid.
During the dry season (winter), it only rains very rarely, but evenings can be chilly, so bring long pants and sleeves. Varadero is located North of Cuba, so it is possible to have cold front some days of winter. Varadero has not been much affected by strong hurricane like it was the case in many other destinations in Cuba.

NOTE: You must not take the weather forecast too seriously as there are often warnings of rain. This is normal for the wet season, because there are actually episodes of rain, but it is temporary and does not last all day.
